What is the workflow?
-
- The contributor donates the price of the sacrifice to the mawkib in Iraq, and the mawkib delivers the meat to people in need in Yemen.
- The mawkib documents the slaughter process in Yemen with a video that is sent to the donor.
- The costs may vary slightly, but are generally stable:
- Sheep sacrifice price: $100
- Calf sacrifice price (by weight): $600 – $800
- Camel sacrifice price (by weight): $800 – $1,000

Udhiya (Eid Sacrifices)
-
- Udhiya is a core part of the slaughter projects.
- Animals are purchased more than a month before Eid al‑Adha.
- A field is rented to raise the sheep and veterinarians are contracted to ensure livestock health.
- Slaughtering and distributing more than 1,000 sacrifices within a limited time is a major challenge.
