The idea is to form a two-part team: the first half in Iraq, and the second half in Yemen (a generous Yemeni family, well known for charitable giving, whom we have known for more than 15 years).
The first half collects donations with official receipts and sends them as a money transfer to the second half in Yemen, since sending in-kind goods is not possible due to the blockade.
The second half (the generous Yemeni family we have known for over 15 years) purchases food items and distributes them as baskets to relieve the most affected people in Yemen, documenting this distribution with photos and clips and sending them to the first half in Iraq. We then publish them on social media so the work moves from a personal initiative to a community effort that everyone can join—this is exactly what has happened, praise be to God.
The convoy’s actual work started at the beginning of 2019 with a few individuals—doctors, engineers, and merchants from Holy Kadhimiya and other areas. As soon as we began, we stood amazed at the growth and divine guidance that accompanied every stage of the work. Today, the convoy includes more than 58 members across Iraqi provinces and several other countries.
We are a group of individuals who represent no political or other entity—neither in Iraq nor in Yemen. Yet when we saw death besieging Yemen’s children and women through hunger, bombardment, and disease, we could only recall the saying of the Noble Messenger (PBUH): “Whoever wakes up and does not care about the affairs of the Muslims is not one of them.”
So we—being Iraqis—set out to form the convoy as a humanitarian station for anyone who wishes to leave a mark. And God knows we fall short in that.

Principles & Foundations of the Convoy’s Work
Throughout the past years, we drew our own guiding lines for the convoy’s work.
Reliance on God
and Seeking the Intercession of the Infallibles (PBUT)
Volunteer-Based Work
Today the convoy includes more than 58 members across Iraq and several other countries, most of whom serve voluntarily.
They collect donations with official receipts and send them to the convoy’s base in Kadhimiya, which then transfers them as cash to the vulnerable in Yemen.
